Hannah Kirkbride is a surface pattern designer and lecturer living and working in Manchester, UK.

 

A lover of pattern and the concept behind the aesthetic, Hannah believes that research and initial inspiration is the most important part of the design process. Hannah created Patternmash in November 2013. She wanted it to become a place where these initial sparks of inspiration that grow into project beginnings could be collated, shared and enjoyed. Patternmash boasted over 500 monthly users from around the world and gathered 32 incredible pattern design collections under its belt.

Hannah is currently teaching Art and Design full time at various institutions along the M62. She also delivers textiles and surface pattern workshops, which you can ask her about.  When she isn't scrambling for the next deadline, you can find Hannah in a coffee shop with her head buried in a murder mystery or planning her next city break.
